So your divorced, single and lonely and have the funds to retire in Asia or a third world country. What comes first finding a new lover or traveling to your new destination?

Well my advice would be to travel to the new destination and then take your time in finding a suitable partner. It's also best to sample the product before making any firm commitments that you will regret later. Yes it's tempting to use the internets dating services however the girls that advertise their needs there are mostly there for all the wrong reasons. They are gold diggers and you want someone to love you and not your money. But if you visit their country the internet can be a useful tool, you can pick the girls you fancy and then interview them.

Find a good but cheap hotel or in the Philippines a good lodge. I can recommend

The Kiwi Lodge
Cebu City

http://www.kiwilodge.org/home.htm

Super Deluxe Room US$26 per night

Not far from the Mactan International Airport and its run by New Zealand national, the clients are mostly American, Australian and European so it's easy to make friends and seek advice. It's best to book in advance.

The next thing is to find an affordable place to live many of the clients of the Kiwi Lodge will be helpful on this issue. But you can always find a girl to do the leg work for you. $200 to $300 will get you a nice 2 bedroom house or apartment. You will normally be required to pay 1 month deposit and 1 month rent in advance.

Although it's so easy to find girls as they will be seeking you be very wary, many will lie about.

1.Not having children
2.Not being married
3.Their age.
4. Their reason for wanting to be with a foreigner
5.Their family back ground

When you arrange a meeting make sure the girl knows you will only expect her and one friend. It's not un-usual to arrange meeting at a restaurant and she brings along the whole family plus friends.

Don't get married let the girl live with you for a year or two, you could find that to be good advice as many things can crop up concerning the character and life of you prospected life partner. The family or your girl friend could prove to be very greedy or proof that's she has been lying will rear up its ugly head.

Remember candy can make you sick.

yesterdays article part one. http://silkmesh.newsvine.com/_news/2007/10/11/1019743-sex-in-the-candy-store

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Or, perhaps you want to come on a holiday just to sample the candy as many men do…. Just sit in the SM Mall and the candy will come to you or visit the Bikini Bar,s (very expensive and seedy).

Babel I'm not asking this in an unfriendly way, I hope you understand, but how are you able to know that the girl loves you and not your money? Does not being sure bother you?

Ok. I can tell from other things you've said that she's very dear to you, but you know I wish you wouldn't quite call her a candy bar... It's just your way, I know.

Actually I don't and would dream of calling her a candy bar, but in reality she is very sweet and has good taste. No I call her a sexy monkey a term she likes. You can call a women anything as long as its not insulting to her, candy bar, honey pot or pudding are all acceptable to most girls. In the article the term Candy Bar and Candy shop relates to what a US guy said to me in a bar the day previous to writing the original article.

Oh my girlfriend has read this article and is not offended as she knows my true thought on this issue. I have on many occasions warned her friends about the foreigners or any girls that have ask me to find them a husband.

Many of the girls here know the foreigners like them to candy bars, many having multiple relationships to foreigners. My first girlfriend took only a week to find another Brit to live with and she swore she loved only me and never could find anyone else. This is the reality its hard to find love in a place that you buy the lover. But how many people find love in the west, not many know what love is.

I had the impression you and your girl had a better relationship than the ones you're describing in the article, and I'm glad to hear that's true.

This is the future in a globalised world, unfortunately. I don't know about your private situation Babel so my comment is not about that - if you have found love I'm glad for you - but the rich old men you are speaking of are engaging in a type of commerce in a world where everything has become a commodity, including human beings.

The men I am talking about are normally American and living on social benifits US$1000 per month or less. Not many rich people playing in the candy shop.

Oh I did not come here to play only to retire, paint, write and to fish. I actually was heading for South Africa but a friend talked me into come here to be his best man at his wedding. I had just got over a very bad patch in my life.

I do lead a moral life other than not getting married I certainly do not play in the candy store as I am a great believer the one must live your life with out hurting anyone intentionally

but you did write the article!

Yes I did write the article, as I live in the candy shop and the greedy candy shoppers discust me but the reality is they will keep on shopping while the products are cheap and poverty remains in the candy factory.

The sugar daddies of the sixties are either dead or having their wheel chair pushed by a beautiful dusky maiden with the nice cell phone. Old letches never die they fade away with a smile on their face.
